This pellet pistol uses an 8-shot rotary magazine with a quick-change magazine system that makes it simple to detach the magazine by pressing the red button on either side of the frame, and it includes three total magazines in the package. It is powered by a single 12-gram CO2 cartridge housed in the grip frame, and the grip slides back to make changing the cartridge easier.

The Umarex Avera is capable of operating in double-action mode, meaning that the time it takes to empty the magazine is limited only by how fast a shooter can pull the trigger. The textured ergonomic grip provides a stable and slip-free hold even in the presence of moisture, and the manual button safety enables security.

For improved aiming without needing accessories, this CO2 pellet pistol comes with a fixed blade front sight and an adjustable rear notch sight, and it also has a Picatinny optics rail to accommodate a dot sight or other optic.
