If you're just looking for a realistic CO2 pistol and don't need a firearm clone to have fun, the Umarex 9XP is the one to get. It has the same blowback action of the firearm-branded guns but without the sticker shock.
Umarex is the master of lookalike air guns, and the 9XP is no exception. The easy-to-load removable BB magazine holds 20 rounds, and the CO2 is placed inside the grip -- separate from the mag. That makes it much cheaper to buy lots of extra mags and load up before you hit the range.

Wasn't impressed at first sight because of packaging. After the battle of getting the pistol out of the packaging, it felt good! Nice and heavy but then I pulled the rail back and released it. OMG, what a cheap sound!! It sounds like 2 pop cans being banged together. The magazine is very easy to reload but I have a problem installing a co2 cartridge. My fingers are too chunky to turn the dial easily. I can eventually get the pistol to accept the cartridge but I lose a bit more gas than the user with normal sized fingers. Shooting: AWESOME!! It is very accurate and the blowback sounds and feels great for the first 2 magazines. I was only able to get 3.5 magazines (approx 70 shots) from each cartridge. Overall, yes it is a blowback and any kid would love to have it. But myself, it's way too cheap for my liking, hence the 3 star rating...
